Reunited at last!

As I am preparing to move, I've been sorting through all of my belongings. At the bottom of a box filled with beloved dolls and stuffed animals lay Joanie. I immediately squealed with joy and my eyes welled up with tears.
Joanie is a pillow that was always sitting on the sofa in my Aunt Joan's living room. Whenever I would visit her house, I would jump out of the car and make a beeline straight for Joanie. I can't quite explain what the attraction is, it's certainly not an attractive or soft pillow, but it's just the way she (yes, she) feels and moves. We had a very special connection. You can imagine my excitement when on one of these visits, Auntie Joan said "Amy, why don't you just take the thing?". For approximately 10 years, Joanie and I rarely spent a night apart. Joanie is one of my most treasured childhood toys (if you can call her that) and I'm ecstatic to be reunited with her once again.

This post is dedicated to my wonderful Auntie Joan, thank you! xxoo

Amy, so glad to hear from you!
especially this heart warming story.

I am glad that you came across Joanie and I can see that "she" made the chore of packing and moving just a little easier.

Miss you and sending love your way today!!!

Oh my word. Joanie. I certainly remember you and your love for her. :) You brought a smile to my face...I had to explain Joanie to Ben after he asked me "what are you smiling at?" (I don't think that he really understood.) :)

Sweet Amy - Tears in my eyes....don't know if I'm laughing or crying. I remember so well how you loved that silly pillow and the day you took her home. It was a delight to see the expression on your face that day and hear your comments about 'Joanie' throughout the years. You always gave me updates and reminded me that you still had 'her'. Can hardly believe she's made all those moves with you, though! I'm glad you're reunited and that she now has a second-generation of owners - the picture of Stella is great :)
You made my day, Amy! You are so precious to me!

Oh, sweet Amy Joy - I remember Joanie coming to our house with you when you would spend the night. I am SO happy that she has been resurrected. Like they say "one person's trash is another person's treasure" and, not that it was 'trash' when Aunt Joan had it, but . . . it sure is a treasure for you. Love you Amos! Auntie Marva

I hope your move went well! Nothing like having to move twice. How did the offer go with the house? (mom informs me of what is going on in your life)

Missing you guys - can't wait until christmas!

Has Joanie been passed down to Stella?

Hugs
